Sacraments of Initiation
Baptism: A child's baptism is a time of joyous celebration. Parents intending to baptize their child may contact our Baptism Coordinators, Deacon Kevin and Rhonda Heim 515-274-4321
First Communion: First Eucharist is ordinarily celebrated in the Easter season when a child is in 2nd grade, but there are always exceptions. Please contact Janis Falk 515-255-1175, ext. 204. Also see Religious Education page.
Confirmation: The preparation process for this final rite of initiation involves study, prayer, service and faith community experiences. High School tenth graders receive this sacrament. Please contact Janis Falk 515-255-1175, ext. 204. Also see Religious Education page.
Sacraments of Healing
Reconciliation (Penance): Reconciliation is our opportunity to heal our relationship with God and receive God's unconditional forgiveness. Reconcillation times are Saturdays- 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sundays- 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. You can schedule an appointment by contacting Fr. James Livingstone at 515-255-1175, ext. 203.
Anointing of the Sicks: This sacrament is adiminstered for the remission of sins, and for the provision of spiritual strength and physical health. Please contact Fr. James Livingstone at 515-255-1175, ext. 203. You may also contact the parish office at 515-255-1175.
Sacraments of Vocation
Holy Matrimony: Marriage is a life-long commitment freely made. Engaged couples must contact the Parish Office at 255-1175 twelve (12) months prior to their planned date. A date cannot be set until meeting with us. Couples are required to participate in an educational process prior to their marriage. They must meet with a sponsor couple or attend a premarriage workshop. Couples should contact their home parish to begin this process. Couples are also required to complete a FOCCUS inventory. It is the responsibility of the engaged couple to secure the date with the church before making commitments with reception halls, caterers, etc. One of the engaged, or their parents, must be a current registered member.
